NAPM Mission

The association exists to educate, develop, and advance the purchasing and supply management profession.

GOALS

  • Educate and train affiliate leaders
  • Provide educational opportunities for affiliate leaders
  • Communicate goals and plans

Association Vision

Members of the National Association of Purchasing Management are recognized as world class professionals. NAPM and its affiliates serve as Centers of Excellence in establishing and maintaining best in-class professional standards of competency and conduct for its members, and matters pertaining to research, education and certification.

Centers of Excellence

The association will serve as a Center of Excellence for the profession in the following manner:

Members

  • Establish and commit to individual goals and plans to achieve personal professionalism.
  • Demonstrate highest quality standards in performance of the purchasing and supply management function.
  • Actively participate in the definition and development of the body of knowledge.

Affiliates

  • Establish goals and plans to become Centers of Excellence.
  • Actively participate in the development of professionalism using the common body of knowledge.
